Junior Achievement of the Cape Fear Region currently offers classes to students in K-5 and 10th grade. JA's curriculum programs teach about financial literacy, business and economic fundamentals, career exploration, and workplace competencies. JA's highly interactive programs are presented by volunteers from the community who expose students to a real world perspective and serve as positive role models and mentors to students. Guidebooks, lesson plans, and all student materials are provided to the volunteer who visits the classroom 5-6 times during a school semester for 30-45 minutes per visit. School selection and scheduling is flexible.

Elementary Programs

Growing up with Junior Achievement begins in elementary school. While they are still mastering the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic, JA students are also learning the fundamentals of commerce. By studying things like unit production and assembly line efficiency, children learn more than just how business works. They also learn how cooperation and teamwork make just about everything easier.
