JA BizTownTM
Our Capstone program, JA BizTownTM,
has served more than 50,000 students over the last six years! Students discover the real-life opportunities
available in the free enterprise system as they become business operators and taxpayers in JA BizTown. Most
importantly, it helps teach basic math, economics, technology, social studies, reading and writing concepts
in a way that is meaningful and motivating for students.

Core Programs
Over 53,760 students in grades K-12 were impacted by one of
JA's 16 in-school programs. Each student has the opportunity to learn from a positive role model
who facilitates hands-on learning experiences during which students use information, apply basic skills,
think critically, and solve complex problems. These volunteers bring real-life business experience and
guidance into the classroom at a time that represents an essential crossroads for young people.

Volunteers
The more than 3,330 program volunteers embody the heart of
Junior Achievement and this is how many volunteers entered area classrooms and facilitated the
JA BizTown experience for our area children. Taking a message of opportunity and economic
understanding to a classroom in your community, no matter what one's profession, is JA in action.
Educators
Over 2,810 professional educators opened their door to the
Junior Achievement programs and helped foster a partnership that makes JA a successful bridge between
business and education.
